This is a quality company with excellent, professional employees. We switched to William T. Jenkins after a nightmare with another landscape group. What a difference! We have gravel yards but many small pocket gardens with roses, vines, tropical plants, herbs and vegetables. We also have many fruit trees so we need a knowledgeable company. We do our own rose pruning and fertilizing and hire a citrus specialist to maintain the trees, but other than that, the landscape workers do everything else. We use William T. Jenkins for our regular landscape service every two weeks. They send three men who work diligently and perform any tasks we request including planting, fertilizing, moving large landscape rocks, taking down old trellises and arbors and hauling. They take pride in their work, ringing the doorbell when they arrive (always on time) and ask what we would like done. They are the first landscape group that doesn't blow leaf debris into the neighbor's yard or under the garage door. They also clean up any leaves that blow into the pool. The company is a little more costly than others but well worth the worry-free work. We also asked that they send an irrigation technician. He came within a couple of days of our request. He checked each line, reset timers, replaced heads and took the time to answer many questions. We have a much better understanding of the irrigation system because of his explanations. S. Platte

I use William T Jenkins, Inc. weekly. I have flowers that are put in periodically and plants that are added. They cut the grass and fertilize the grass. They are excellent. Adam arrived early and completed the job requested in record time. He showed me the problem and was very courteous and efficient. I called on Wednesday to set an appointment, and they booked my appointment for Thursday afternoon. Adam arrived early and looked at the valve that was not operating. He replaced the valve and tested it . . . it worked great. He showed me the old valve which had been damaged and would not work. Now my system works great and I don't have to operate it manually! L. I contracted with William T Jenkins (WTJ) to oversee damage to a main irrigation pipe at the edge of a parking lot caused by an asphalt company during demolition of the old pavement. (I used WTJ for an earlier repair on the same repaving job because it could not be proved that the asphalt company caused that damage. That repair was handled quickly and efficiently). The asphalt company felt they could handle this repair but I had my doubts. The WTJ rep was on time (6 a.m.) and stayed until the asphalt tech arrived 2 hours late. The asphalt company underestimated what needed to be done and the tech had no idea what equipment to purchase. The WTJ rep told him what to buy and stayed onsite while the tech went shopping. After the completing the repair, the tech was going to pressure test it immediately. The rep indicated the repair needed to dry for 24 hours first. Without William T Jenkins' oversight, this could have been a real mess. M. Eastman

I needed a few repairs made to my drip irrigation and lawn sprinkler system. A sprinkler head was broken, I needed new supply lines to the garden bed, and the backwash preventer was leaking water when one of the lines shut off. I placed the call to the office and got a return call within 36 hours. President John Harper came out to walk through my list and give me an estimate. Because my system is about 15 years old, I was afraid I was going to be told I needed a whole new system. However, this was not the case. After examining the equipment, he gave me an estimate which was acceptable. He then called the office and detailed the pieces and repair kits necessary to complete the job. He dictated manufacturer names and model numbers which I had not provided. This man knows his business! I was impressed. He scheduled Adam to come out the next day and repair my system before the holiday weekend. Adam arrived 10 minutes early the next day. I showed him the sprinkler, the hose and how long it needed to run, and the backflow preventer. He went to work and was done in a shorter amount of time than John had estimated. Adam had tested all the systems to make sure the repairs were sound. He rang the bell when he was done, said I would be billed for services, and wished me a good day. If only all home repair work was as effortless as this!
I feel that this is a first-rate, professional organization. John listened carefully to what I had to say, asked questions, and did not hurry me. He clearly knows his business as he was familiar with all the details of my system - more than I knew. I asked about adding a water feature and what his company can do along those lines. He detailed to me exactly what they would need to do, asking questions of me along the way to get a good mental picture of what I wanted. John was able to give me a reasonable ballpark figure (not a formal quote at this time). This will help me plan for the future and what I want my landscaping to be. While I like to do a lot of my gardening myself, I feel I have an ally in this company for times when I get stuck or the project is too big for me alone. Did a major overhaul of my 21 year old irrigation system for my yard. Some landscape work was also completed with the irrigation overhaul.
The crew was efficient and, in my opinion, knew what they were doing. The crew leader was knowledgeable and could speak English quite well even though it was his second language. The work was completed on time and at the quoted price. This company is clearly not on the lower end expense wise, but the quality of the work is high. M. Lange
